Banfield & Pomphrey Funeral Directors has been helping to raise awareness of the bereavement charity, Dragonflies.
Since 2006, Dragonflies has provided local children, young people and their families with a free pre and post-bereavement service by offering them a safe place to express their grief and advice to help them cope with their loss.
Throughout August, Funeral Arranger/Administrator Jane Searston dedicated the branch’s window space to the charity, showcasing bright dragonfly window stickers and a board of information, which caught the eyes of many passers-by.
Jane said: “I am over the moon with the positive response the window has had. We had many people pop into the branch to ask for more information, as well as a gentleman from a local golf club who has said he will now be sponsoring Dragonflies as a result of seeing the window display.
“I aim to hold an event in the future, which will hopefully raise more awareness and money for Dragonflies as it is such an important and valued local charity.”
